Amazing location, just steps away from the beach. House has been renovated and is in great condition. All the necessities to have a great experience. Grocery store about a 2 min drive away. We would definitely visit again!

What a beautiful little home with breathtaking views! The master bedroom is amazing—even better in person than in the listing photos. My family had a great stay here; there were so many games and toys to keep the kids entertained. The host was very proactive and responsive. The easy access to the beach was so convenient, and the beach itself was quiet and peaceful. This place is perfect if you want to get away from the crowds. I cannot recommend this home enough.

For the past 10 summers we have stayed at different houses. This is the 1st house that we all want to rent again. It had room for everyone to spread out, 3 bathrooms and the master is magnificent with it’s own balcony and huge, amazing bathroom. Love this place.

Location was great. Away from the busy public beach entrances. No blinds on any main window which was unfortunate all around. Photos were deceiving for 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. Overall, house was nice but has more wear and tear than show in photos. Outside chairs are showing signs of rust and salt abuse.

It really is quite the amazing spot, Christopher, thank you for noting! As for blinds on the windows, the owner of this home's goal was to capture all the beautiful views and keep things unencumbered. However, we will definitely pass along your feedback. We are a bit confused by your comment about 2 of the bedrooms? We have not had any other guest mention any concerns here and nothing has changed from the photos. They, respectfully, are representative in the listing. Maybe you are thinking of another home? Regarding sun, salt, sand, and humidity, yes, great at the beach, not so great on homes, especially ones direct beachfront. It is a constant battle of the elements - keeps us humble. We appreciate your feedback and thanks for staying with us.

This house was PERFECT for our family weekend! The thoughtful updates and design of the home make it an adorable and memorable stay! The front porch got a lot of great use! We had two toddlers and a pup and it was very enjoyable and safe for all! The kitchen and living spaces were comfortable and provided a fun backdrop to family memory-making. All amenities were as described. I found the master bed to be quite comfortable, and the sunrise views so enriching. The downstairs beds have the thick plastic protector which was somewhat less comfortable for adults. The owners provided a brand new charcoal grill which was a delight! There was a terrible rain the week before, however, and so the under-house space was a pond full of rainwater and mud. My brilliant husband was able to rig a siphon hose to clear the water and sweep up half afterwards so we were able to utilize the under-house space. The tots loved the mud! Don’t let seaweed season stop you! This place is a gem! We hope to return!

We had a wonderful family vacation at the Sandy Dollar and could not have been more comfortable. The house was spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable, the linens soft, the towels fluffy. We ate every meal at the house and the kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep. (Ordered pizza from Mario’s one night and highly recommend it). The master suite and bathroom are outstanding! We had coffee and watched the sunrise on the master deck every morning and watched the ships and listened to the waves every evening. The grandkids loved the upstairs 2 queen bedroom and bath. A huge thunderstorm blew through the day before we arrived and flooded the parking pad under the house but there was plenty of room to park in the driveway. The beachfront location and direct access was perfect. We loved the house and the location and hope to return!

We loved our stay! This beach location was perfect for our family that includes two boys, ages six and ten. Very little car/truck traffic on the beach which can get crazy on different sections of the beach. Only traffic was the occasional police officer or golf cart. House was clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds and linens were very comfortable. Hard to beat. Thank you for the great stay.

The sandy dollar is right on the beach and lives up to the 5 star rating! Amazing ocean and beach views from the large windows, gorgeous master suite, and beautiful decor. As another reviewer mentioned, this beach doesn't allow cars which was a real plus for us and we loved that we could bring our pups with us. Kitchen is well stocked and bathrooms are really nice. We loved hanging out at this house!

Can not get over the views from the master. I’m huge on sunrises and from the master bedroom’s bed I was able to capture breathtaking ones without having to get out of bed.

A beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable home right on the beach. Loved the open floor plan and large deck where you can watch the sunrise with your morning coffee. The kitchen has everything you need and a nice pantry to store groceries. There is a large master bedroom and bath upstairs with a desk that looks out to the water, perfect for a laptop. We spent a month here and were very comfortable. It is located on a good stretch of the beach where no cars are allowed. The house looks just like the pictures.

Very nice home. There were a few minor discrepancies which were addressed the day after I reported to the manager. The 4th bedroom which is upstairs has 2 full size trundle beds. Each bed slept one adult, not 2, comfortably.This property has a sandy path to the beach. The property to the left does not. The tenants staying there freely used the same path. The provided BBQ pit is small. Reminded us of one we had when we were first starting off our married life in an apartment.

We were very very disappointed that we could not use the community pool. Mgmt was sketchy about giving us access and finally said the homeowner had HOA issues and we could not use it. One reason why we booked this place since we had little kids and wanted to have another option for swimming. Also, we experienced heavy rain and the entire underneath/ground floor flooded and our cars had to be pulled out by AAA! It’s probably still flooded…Made it very hard to walk out to beach in the flood waters. It was nasty…also, there was leaking around the doors during heavy rains. Seems like flashing is missing. The master bedroom is beautiful, but there are no window treatments and it got so so bright on a sunny morning and hot too. Like at 6:30am! Yes, the ceiling fan is very pretty and big but it is WORTHLESS Does not turn much. House felt updated. The bedding was great…the place was well equipped and clean. Internet good…TV good. We rented a golf cart from Rick’s to use to take stuff to the beach and to the convenience store and hopefully the pool. They were great! We left a crockpot and 2 beach chairs for future renters.. (They had 4 beach chairs for us to use and an umbrella; I think)

Great location right on the beach, but for the price of over 1k per night, property needed a little TLC. Patio furniture falling apart, lots of ants, smelled heavily of dog urine, almost to the point we thought of finding another place for the last 2 nights and just eating the cost…I get it was “pet friendly” but it was really strong. Thinking maybe time for some comforter/rug replacements. Many had stains. And the service/host fees were over $1800! We did enjoy our time in Galveston and loved being right on the beach but will not do a pet friendly house next time.

We spent a week here with our Boxer dog and enjoyed every peaceful minute. The property was very clean and check-in was easy. The beach was right off the deck where we spent the majority of our time. The property was well stocked with all the things you will need. However, we wanted to use the charcoal grill and could not find a lighter, match or anything to start it. We are not smokers so we didn't have anything either and Wal-Mart was 20 minutes away. Everything else we needed was provided except for the meals we ate. This was a wonderful stay and I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in the area for vacation.

Sadly we feel the stay was a little overpriced based on the condition of the home. There were lots of ants and the downstairs smelled like dog urine when we arrived. But the location and beach were perfect! The kitchen appliances and organization was great! We also loved the colors and decorations. Overall we did have a great time!

This property is beautiful and the location is top notch! They thought of everything from a baby gate, to a booster seat, to a dog bone for our dog. The beach is quiet and private. I highly recommend this property!

We come out each year for over a decade, but this has been the best property we’ve had the fortune of staying at. The location, beach access, and ease of access is all great, but the house itself is what sets it apart. By far the most up to date home when thoughtful touches I’ve seen in the area.

Came from Denver to the beach to get some warm weather for spring break . The house was very nice , but would make a few suggestions. 1. Need shades on primary bdr windows. Extremely bright early in the morning. 2. Not enough towels. 1 towel per person for a week is not enough3 would have appreciated a few beach chairs. Flying from Denver you do not have these items

Very nice! Impressive with how kitchen was so well stocked and the welcome basket very nice. Chairs on deck could use a little attention and one night when it rained we had signification rain come in over front door through the molding. Overall it was great location, amazing beach access and a very lovely home. Would definitely come back

This was our first Family Vacation with all of our grown daughters and their husbands/boyfriends and our granddaughter. There were nine of us and the place had plenty of space for us all. We loved being right on the beach, literally footsteps to the ocean. The house is beautiful and modern with coastal decor. The beds were all very comfortable, with very nice bedding. The kitchen is equipped with any of the small appliances you would need, nice pots & pans, dishes and serve ware. There are incredible ocean views, sunsets and sunrises! The bar has been set high for our future beach vacations! I highly recommend this property!
