The Oasis Private Pool Bayfront Fire Pit

This is the spot for a great relaxing time. Didn’t want to leave the house. Fished from the dock, pool, kayaks, fully stocked for our needs! Our feet never touched the beach which is rare with my group. We relaxed while we had to work a little at Moddy Gardens Convention center but stayed home and relax in this beautiful home on the water. Watched the games on tvs everywhere while cooking, fish, kayaking, and swimming! Can’t wait to do it again.

We very much enjoyed our stay. We had a great birdwatching perch on the back porch over the water. We brought our cast-net and caught and released fish off the dock-which you can see at night thanks to the underwater colored lights. Nice private pool, multiple places outside and inside to hang out. Well appointed bedrooms, living room and kitchen. We definitely would stay there again.

We had a terrific time at Oasis. This is a great house—well kept, well stocked and clean. Plenty of room for our family to spread out and the multiple refrigerators and washer/dryers were a great benefit. We enjoyed fishing off the dock into the evening and watching the kids enjoy the pool. Be sure to bring beach towels and extra bath towels as these are not available through the management company. The AC went out on our 3rd day but was repaired same day, no problem. Property was advertised with heated pool. When we inquired about how to use it we were told the pool heater was not for use by guests.

As for the pool being heated, that is correct, it is not heated in the summer months as the water is already very warm. Honestly, some folks would prefer it more "refreshing". However, it is heated in the cooler months and controlled for optimal guest experience by the pool servicing company. We're so glad the AC contractor could get things taken care of for you quickly and nice and cool. Thanks again for allowing us to host you!

This house was great! There was room for everyone, and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and utensils. Jamaica Beach is a beautiful and clean community. 979 crew was incredibly responsive and helpful. I reached out twice and both times got a response in minutes. We were super bummed the pool heater didn’t work as we had a slight cool spell so we couldn’t swim but no big deal. I will say something is wrong with the water heater. The water goes from hot to lukewarm about every 2 minutes. Overall we had a great time!

We are a bit confused; however, we exhausted every phone line, text, and email communication during your stay, and we do not see anything from you regarding the pool nor water heater. We would have gladly sent our professional pool service partner over (believe me they get paid for it 😀) and our maintenance manager would have checked out that water heater. We aren't aware of any issues with either. We're sorry for any inconvenience, and we will definitely check them both out. We appreciate you allowing us to host you, and we would love to have you back again with all things fully operational (and warm).

If you want loud, average and overrated, look elsewhere. This place blew us away! The pics online simply can’t do it justice. From the comfiest beds, to pretty dishes, even little things like updated light fixtures and plants that smell amazing.. we loved our stay because it feels more like a private resort than a rental. My husband loved fishing off the peer & I loved having close access to the state park so I could walk on the beach everyday. We will put this one on our favorite list to book again!

We had a great time and the place was accommodating for our group. The bathrooms and kitchen were spacious, the fishing, swimming, and paddle boards were fun, and the patio deck was a great place for relaxing.

We visited between Christmas & New years when weather can be warm or cold during the day. We selected this location because it advertised a heated pool at all times ready for guest. Unfortunately this did not occur. 979 was nice to call a pool person go by to check on it. When we returned from our activities for the day, pool was still not warm. Not even the 2nd day hoping it needed time to get warm. If I knew the pool’s heater was not working I would have selected a beachfront property for the same price, to enjoy the ocean view . Everything else regarding the property was great.

You are correct, we at 979 contacted the 3rd party professional pool service provider multiple times receiving lip service they would take care of it, arg. Needless to say, we have since parted ways with them and have switched the servicing to a new provider. We do hope you make a return trip, and we will put out all the stops including a toasty pool. We had such a lovely stay. The house was filled with high finishes and comfortably accommodated our family. The house was clean and had most everything we needed. We did have an issue with the burners on the stove and management responded within the hour to get it fixed. Washer and dryer on both floors was very convenient. The pool was a huge bonus and enjoyed by all. We can’t wait to return next year!

We rented this place last minute for a New Year’s stay and it did not disappoint. The house is very clean and as beautiful as shown the pictures. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Kids loved the heated pool, caught some specs and reds from the back dock and made s’mores in the wood burning pit. Host was very responsive to the few questions we had and the transaction process was effortless. The only minor issue that should be addressed is the slow drainage of the shower downstairs. If you’re not careful it could overflow the walk-in shower. Will definitely consider renting this place again in the summer.

Such a beautiful house! Being right on the canal is great, and the paddleboards made it fun to explore the waterways. The beds were comfortable and the glass window wall makes the most of the view. I will come back!

The property is beautiful and well decorated. The views from the covered porch are gorgeous and relaxing. kitchen is well stocked. Pool was heated and kept nice and warm. Perfect for our stay in March. Jamaica Beach is just across the Main Street - loved that you could park your car directly on the beach. My only complaints were that the outdoor patio furniture and fire pits have been used heavily and were not in the best shape. Disappointed as we paid a lot of money to stay here and expected everything to be in good condition. Had a few small issues but the service team responded promptly to all requests. Had a great spring break in Galveston with our family!

The property was very nice. It’s a pretty home but the structure of the home didn’t work for us. I wanted my family altogether inside the home. The outside bedroom didn’t work. The open concept in the master bedroom didn’t work. The toilet was away from the sinks to wash your hands and you need to go to sleep at the same time or you’ll be waking each other up. No chairs in the rooms to watch TV (you’re always on the bed). The TV in the kitchen kept turning off. The stove wouldn’t turn on sometimes (very annoying). The heated pool was great with the kids and the fire pit was nice at night because it did get a little cool. But even with these comments this home is very nice. The location was nice and the community was very peaceful.

We are from Houston and just wanted a quick get away for 3 nights. It included my husband, myself, our dog, and 3 college boys. My son was home during SB - brought some college friends home with him. They all wanted a few days to hangout at the beach. They really enjoyed themselves. My husband was able to do some work online. We all enjoyed cooking, hanging out on the upstairs balcony, walking the dog in the neighborhood and driving over to the beach. The boys had plenty to do downstairs with the pool, canal, TV, music, paddle boards, fishing and playing games. The boys had their own rooms - beds were spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean, updated and had plenty of room. The house is planned out very well. Everything seems brand new - furniture, appliances, bedding and linens. Downstairs in the garage - there are floats, cornhole game, 2 bikes (which we didn’t use but looked new), 2 paddle boards/ 2 oars, an outdoor fridge for drinks, a room with wash/dryer, extra fridge, and range/oven. There a bathroom with shower - a big bedroom with little AC unit. Upstairs were 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is also a laundry room in the master room. Kitchen was pretty well stocked with dishes etc. The yard and driveway are all enclosed. This was super nice for our dog and would be for small children. We had such a nice stay. It was an absolutely beautiful home. The location was perfect. We’d love to stay there again in the future.

Beautiful property on the water. This house is amazing. The problem is that residents of Jamaica Beach don’t like renters. They don’t want them there and have said so in town meetings. Now the Jamaica beach police department seems to be getting in on it writing petty parking tickets. I would not recommend visiting Jamaica Beach

My friends and I had to change our plans last minute from Florida given the hurricane and found this wonderful place! The management company approved our reservation request quickly, and made a last minute stressful situation much less stressful. The house was impeccably cleaned, and everything felt brand new and gorgeous!! We felt like we were in the lap of luxury. We did have to contact the rental company regarding an issue but their communication was immediate and our problem was resolved. I would stay at this house again!!

We would come back if…the oven was 100% working, the WiFi was not in and out (it is not due to being on an island as we go to Galveston often), and the pool was heated on arrival. That being said, the managing company was fantastic and the house amazing. I truly believe those things that weren’t working will be fixed. Oh and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The pool was heated eventually for us to use. Happy New Year!

Everything was awesome. Clean, comfortable, and beautiful views. Only two cons were this. We were down in October and pool was too cold to swim, even though it says heated pool. So kids didn't get to swim. They said only heats in winter months. Also, main tv in living room/kitchen area kept losing wifi and wouldn't work.

It was a very good stay. Family was together all in one house. The house was laid out nicely and everyone could move around easily passed each other. Would stay at this location again. Loved that the deck was covered. We could sit outside and enjoy the rain.

We loved our weekend, only wished that it was longer! We loved the pool and the covered patio. The beds were SO comfortable, and the kitchen upgrades are very nice! Gas burners and a griddle - great for breakfasts or burgers! We fished and kayaked for hours! We will be back in the summer!

This house is gorgeous and such smart use of every spec of space. The beds were so comfortable that we looked up the brands to grab some for ourselves. We loved the TV’s in every room, 2 downstairs outdoors. The firepit was perfect. The kids had a blast in the pool and on the canal in the kayak and paddleboard. The house is decorated so cute and comfy. We will be back.

The house was beautiful and super clean with the perfect amount of room for 2 families. The pool was a perfect touch and my 4 year old daughter lived out her dream of watching the little mermaid while swimming with the pool side TV. It is close to all the restaurants and shopping but far enough to not have all the congestion of people. Extremely easy to go to the beach directly across from the community entrance. I've never slept in a more comfortable bed on vacation. We would love to come back!

Beautiful house! Great place for a weekend w/our kids and grandkids. Fishing and pool on property with great outdoor areas. Guests are not allowed to heat pool. The upper deck/porch was nicely furnished with nice view, however, some of the cables around the deck were loose and hanging, which created a safety hazard for our grandkids. Maintenance was supposed to fix when we reported it. Inside stairs- bring baby gate if you have little ones.
