Surfsides Casa Azul Amazing Seaside Sunrise Spot

The was absolutely perfect for our family/friends vacation this year. More than enough room, spacious and right on the beach! We would definitely stay here again!!!!

Great place! Super close to the beach with an amazing review. The set up of the house was perfect. I saw some complaints of the noise due to the restaurant, we heard the noise outside but it wasn’t an issue inside due to a house being built between it. Overall, A great stay and perfect for our friend beach trip.

It is a great beachside spot, thank you for noting James! We're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your time more, but it seems the feeling is mutual. The house was left very messy upon your departure, sadly, after what was clearly a 40th birthday celebration. Our housekeepers spent more than double the normal time cleaning up afterwards. The dishwasher was absolutely full of sand to the point it was not operational. It seems we are not a good match.

First appearance was good as we drove in. Good parking area was well lit. Key code worked but box looked like it was going to fall apart. Had to tug hard to open. Front door opened smoothly. Beautiful ocean view in main room and from 4 of 5 bedrooms. Kitchen was clean but had small bugs appear each day & in welcome basket. Poor stocked kitchen until my wife called & more pots & pans were delivered. 3 non-working can openers. Refrigerator ice dispenser didn't work & the water filter needed changing. Glad we brought lots of paper plates. No closets or chest of drawers in downstairs bedrooms. Closet doors upstairs were hard to open. No chests of drawers upstairs. Some toilet paper holders often fell apart. Bunk bed ladders are not well secured. No screen doors on sliding doors. The mosquitos were terrible and we couldn't open the doors to get the ocean breeze, sound or scent. Broken porch chairs. Rented for 7 days and was given 3 days of soaps, towels, tp and garbage bags, etc.

Thanks so much for allowing us to host your Thanksgiving holiday, and we appreciate you noting this home's beautiful beachside spot and cleanliness, Tom. And with this stunning direct ocean, sand, salt and humid sea air location, comes a whole lot of nature (including uninvited mosquitoes) and quick corrosion and rusting! :). As for the kitchen supply stocking, respectfully, per your group's request, Ashley personally delivered in record time a whole lot more than just a few pots and pans, quite the laundry list as you know, in the interest of making your holiday experience a wonderful one. Cooking needs can be quite subjective and often guests bring many of the more unique items desired especially over a holiday of this nature. As for an ice dispenser, few, if any homes in Surfside Beach offer this, and specifically we proactively share this home does not offer this due to the Village of Surfside's water quality. We also proactively share the stocking supplies offered multiple times. We're sorry if you missed that and were disappointed. Thank you for your feedback and again for allowing us to host your Surfside stay!

Enjoyed our stay here! Just steps from the beach. Very bare on the necessities, but this was clear before arrival - made cooking a little difficult. The house is very nice but as with all beach houses, they never feel quite as pristine as one would like. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

And yes, since this home is directly next to the beach and ocean, the salt, sand, humidity and sea breezes are a constant battle on the homes near it. However, we wouldn't change the location for the world! We'd love to have you back!

Their communication was awesome and professional… they house was perfectly located. Other than the 2 complaints I had below everything else was perfect Only 2 complaints The water and ice was horrible They only allow 4 vehicles in the driveway but the house accommodates up to 12 people.. each guest that stayed in the house drove down themselves… the parking accommodates well more than 4 vehicles without blocking any driveways or being on the grass which was confusing for us… i did have additional guests to come down because it was Jeep Weekend and luckily the restaurant and the neighbors were nice enough for us to park some of our vehicles on their property.

Great location, walk right onto the beach. Beachfront Restaurant, bar & grill right next door. We’ve been doing Surfside for nearly 10 years and finally stepped up to a beachfront rental. Well worth the extra expense. No need to pack gear in a car or golf cart and drive to the beach each day.

The house is very clean, great views form the deck and had plenty of space for our family. However, the house was lacking attention to detail and overall amenities for our eight night stay. 1. They live music at the restaurant was very loud and went pretty late into the night on the weekends. 2. Has a great deck in back, but does not have a dining table outside 3. Bathroom ( no bath mats, missing towel rod and hooks) 4. Hot water heater too small for number of guests. Even the maintenance guy that came to check it said the 30 gallon tank was too small for our group of 7. 5. Needs whole house water system. Sure fair water is yellow and in drinkable. Thus, the water when you fill a bath is also yellow. They really need a whole house filter. 6. Sliding door broken, won't lock 7. The blinds on almost all doors are broken. So, lacks privacy in bedroom and light pours through in the morning due to missing blinds. 8. Have water tank, but did not provide a bottle to use it.

The house was spacious and clean for our group of eight. We thoroughly enjoyed being on the beach. Our main complaint was that there was no dressers for a lot of our clothes. We had closets for our hanging clothes, but no place for socks, etc. Shelves in the closet would of been helpful!

We had a wonderful time at Casa Azule. There wasn’t a nosy neighbor, as stated in previous review. The house is spacious and well laid out. Loved the balcony facing ocean and quick/easy access to the beach. My only complaint is the septic system needed repairs but the property manager was super quick to have someone on the scene but sadly it was not repaired during our stay which meant it was a little stinky entering the front door and a few times on the back balcony. I feel confident it’s been repaired. I would most definitely stay here again. Thanks Casa Azule!

Great house with incredible ocean view right on the sand! It is the perfect spot, steps from restaurants. Lovely interior. Very nice decks too! Shades were falling off just by opening, so the rooms are really bright in the morning without them. NO worries, we just got up early to enjoy the beautiful beach. Coffee pot is old so bring your own Keurig. No mixing or serving dishes/bowls. Fridge slow to cool. Other that that the property is pretty perfect: ) Thanks for an amazing long weekend!

Our stay was magical. Beautiful weather. The double decker porches are perfect for watching the glorious sunrises and people watching. The house fit our family perfectly. We hope to rent again next year.

We loved staying here!! We were able to walk downstairs and straight onto the beach. The area was great and we were the 2nd house from a restaurant. The place was very clean and large enough for our party of 9 with room left over. We will be back!

House was nothing like pictures, fence around yard was gone, standing water everywhere, outdoor shower had no floor, roaches in the house, have been doing these trip for ten years now, this was by far the worst. I understand weather causes issues- that needs to be relayed before the rental is booked, will not use again.

We felt the location and the views were really great! Being right on the beach is definitely the only way to go. House was pretty clean. There was some dog hair on the outside future and some in the house. The fridge ice maker was tied shut with a string. You have to really beware that you close the doors really well. Was great to have the grill. We cooked a bunch. Overall, we loved it and would definitely go again. Rent a golf cart and take a cruise down the beach!

The house is very nice, great location, view sunrise on the decks is amazing. Few steps to beach. Plenty of bathrooms so no need to wait for shower. 979 is very responsive. Booking was easy. Overall. We had great time. Thank you. This is not a complain. Just suggestion:Few applications need to upgrade. It’s still working. It does its job but probably need to upgrade.

It was a fabulous stay. although the trash receptacles were full upon arrival and remained full for the time of our stay. Was difficult to keep the trash down.

What an amazing location, this house is steps from the beach. Our group had a blast and being on the beach was a must. Having a restaurant right next door was so convenient, we ate there twice and the food was really good. We also got a few to-go margaritas for the beach. The house is super cute and the bedrooms are nice and clean. Each family had their own space and bathrooms and we never felt like we were on top of each other.The AC was malfunctioning but we contacted the owners and they sent someone out immediately and had it up and running in no time. I appreciated how accommodating and helpful the owners were on that. This rental has clearly been around the block, the furniture looks a little worn and the place had a crazy fish smell I guess from the previous tenants. It was bad, we were all gagging so I’m not sure how that got by the cleaning people beforehand. We scrubbed and scrubbed the source of the smell though and made do! The kitchen is pretty bare bones as far as supplies and there’s no beach equipment which would be a first for us, every rental we’ve stayed at previously was overstocked with both. All that being said, we would definitely stay here again. We don’t mind packing a little heavier if it means we get to stay right on the beach in this comfortable and cozy house. My friends and I have already discussed renting this house again next year

Overall it was wonderful. Good bathroom to bedroom layouts for a big group. My only thing is that I wish we could have had a gas grill but I know that’s an insurance liability. Other than that, I highly recommend this house. Good views and amazing beach access.

Excellent location for a beach vacation! Spent a week down in Surfside with large family and everyone had a blast. Each room has its own full bath which made it great for everyone to have their own space. Full size washer/dryer a huge plus! Would stay at this location next time we make the trip

We've stayed at Surfside a few times over the years... and this host was one of the best, if not the best we’ve had!! The process was simple, the amenities were fantastic and the location was spectacular!! We usually stay at different places each trip, but it will be hard to not return to this place again. The house is in the perfect location right on the beach!! Huge balcony on the main level and another big one upstairs. The house is very clean and 979 were the best hosts we’ve ever worked with. Welcome basket, so friendly, awesome communication that was prompt every time. Some locals we met at the jetty said they have a reputation for being the best in the area. This property was perfect for multiple couples and some teens - which is what we had. Will definitely stay in a 979 property again.

Location and property lay out was lovely. The area I would improve is the pots for cooking and the utensils in the kitchen. We had a hard time just cooking spaghetti and noodles -- Also a small request is the hospitality basket was great but it would be even better to the shampoo, body wash in the bathroom for guests -

The house is nice and appears new and clean. It is right on the beach however there is no opening or gate on the fence so you do have to walk down to a walk way the get onto the beach, there is no direct access. It is nice that there is a restaurant next door however they do live music every night and it is very loud in the house. We traveled with small children so loud music all 3 nights until midnight was tough for us. The next door neighbor, who I believe owns the house next door was extremely nosey, walking around under our house near our cars, and using binoculars to watch us from his patio. When I came closer to see if wanted to talk to me he just said welcome to the beach. We felt he was overly invasive. It took 4 adults plus a text to the property manager to figure out how to lock the door and even their instructions didn’t work we just had to figure it out. A regular deadbolt on the door would’ve been sufficient. Also the blinds had fallen off in multiple rooms, and their cable wasn’t very good at all. Again the house was clean and nice overall, just a few things that were bothersome about this property and location.
