Sunset Vista Heated Pool Lazy River 2 x Hot Tubs

My sister and nephew were visiting from out of state, and the condo was a great and roomy place to stay. The views from the balcony were gorgeous, and we were very close to the lazy river pool. Bring your own float or noodle! We were disappointed the hot tub wasn't working. it was warm, but we couldn't get the jets working. Given recent storms, there was standing water, and that means mosquitos. I recommend mosqhito coils near the front door and on the patio and mosquito spray. They helped. My whole family raved about the place, and we would come back again.

a great place to stay, was not aware A/C leaks onto kitchen floor, highly recommend that be fixed before next person slips and sprains their ankle or worse

This place was amazing. Great views of the bay and overlooked the pool. Everything was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. When visiting this area again I would try and book again!

We enjoyed our stay at Pointe West (PW); however, we weren’t so satisfied with 979 Property Mgmt. Upon arriving, they hadn’t called in our PW wristbands so we had to wait until the next day to use any of the facilities. The dishwasher never worked during our stay so we handwashed most of the dishes. We troubleshot this until day 5 of our stay, and it was too late for 979 to do anything about it. They did let us leave all of our dirty dishes for the remainder of the time which was helpful. The refrigerator took 24 hrs to cool down which was alarming when we brought almost all of our food to the condo. The living room needs repairs: peeling baseboards, broken furniture, missing remotes. However, it was nicely decorated with comfortable beds/linens, great AC, quiet and safe, great sunset views. The toilet paper was cheap. Be sure to bring everything (food, beach/pool supplies, etc) as 979 nor PW provide anything. For what we paid, we’d stay at PW again, we just wouldn’t rent from 979.

Hello Kate, we're happy to hear you enjoyed your stay in Pointe West and thank you for allowing us to host you. As for the wristbands, we're sorry that was a short term inconvenience, but you also failed to complete the paperwork proactively required to facilitate this process. As for the dishwasher, you did not contact us until day 5 of your stay to let us know it was not operating properly, so as previously communicated, not sure how this is a failure on our part. And yes while not having a functional dishwasher is an inconvenience (and we're sorry about that), it is not critical like say, AC, and we did everything we could to try to repair it once notified. As we discussed, it is tough enough to get appliances and/or appliances quickly in general, let alone on a barrier island. We do appreciate the feedback and take it to heart. However, our staff did not appreciate your aggressive tone and threats during your stay. It seems we are not a good match, unfortunately.

Great location! Loved the pool being so close. Could see the bay and directly across from the drive on beach entrance. Loved driving on and not having to load and unload Im and haul in wagons. Comfy beds and very clean. Even had a area for the kids to have a “play room”. If I had to nit pick I would recommend a bigger and better trash can and recycling bin as well as some more kitchen towels and wash rags. I’m addition another hand towel hanger on the left side of the master sink. But literally I’m nit Picking because this place is amazing. Will try to book it again next year for sure.

Booked for quick family stay. Grandparent and Pet Friendly. Is as pictures suggest. Pool with Lazy River and awesome sunsets directly next to property. Noise does not travel into condo. Comfortable beds no challenges and property manager responsive. Must drive to gulf side beach not walking distance. Overall great stay recommend for families will book again for longer stay. Be aware WiFi is always challenging in pointe west suggest bringing your own hot spot, but that is why you go to pointe west to get away.

When we arrived, there were other renters who were stuck inside of the elevator. Once they were let out we were unable to use to load our items up to our floor. We also have senior citizens so the stairs was not ideal for the rest of the stay. The last day our building was without power for 6 hours. Not too impressed, especially the amount of money spent and travel time it took to stay here. I booked this as a family vacation and consistently felt like I failed all of the family that took the time off to join.

This property was beautiful and in a perfect location. We had gorgeous sunsets, a perfect view of the pool and a great view of the bay. The three bedrooms and three bathrooms were a great fit for our group. It was relaxing and fun! We will definitely do a repeat in the future.

Loved the property and the layout. Took the wife, 3 kids and 2 dogs and there was plenty of room and 3 bathrooms which is nice. The only thing I would change is the kitchen sink area. Looks like the cabinets holding the sink were rotting out and smelled terrible. Other than the kitchen, the place was great.

My husband and I stayed here with our daughter, son-in-law and 3 grandkids (8,5&3). The space was perfect for all of us as there was room to play and relax. We loved being near the lazy river pool. The location was clean and close enough to everything without being overcrowded. Looking forward to coming back!

My family enjoyed our stay! Nice open floor plan, great location with large balcony overlooking the Lazy River pool and the bay. Area with toys, dvd movies, blocks, puzzles…wonderful for families with young children. We appreciated the supply of paper towels & toilet paper, the Keurig in the kitchen, ice maker with large bin, covered parking. The elevator was so helpful in getting luggage etc to and from car to condo. The only suggestion I might make is for more seating in the living area (maybe a sectional?) for watching the Astros! ⚾️ We had no issues, just a wonderful time! We hope to come back to this condo next year for our Beach Week with friends who own a beach house nearby. I highly recommend this condo and hope your family will enjoy it as much as we did!

Great bayside location and easy access to PW amenities. A bit spartan in den area and patio area furniture comfort and number (den seating for only 5) but mattresses and towels were excellent quality! Property mgmt company very responsive.

Sign-up was difficult with pages of legal junk . Some computer snag caused consternation. Place was nice and clean. Could have used some extra bedding. Hammock in picture was missing. There are numerous fees which will drive your total cost higher than advertised.

Outside of the unit itself, the property grounds were clean. However, inside of the unit there were roaches in the cabinets, bathrooms, and bedrooms. It was disgusting constantly having to kill them. For how much was charged, it was not worth the money.

This was a perfect fit for our family. We had three adult couples. It was a great floor plan design. We could be together and be a family, yet we also had space for being off to ourselves a bit too. It is a beautiful area. We found it easy to drive anywhere on the Galveston Island too.

The condo was great for our family of 4 and two dogs. Beautiful and spacious condo and Pointe West is such a great place to stay. Views from the main balcony are lovely.

This was our fourth trip to the property but our first time staying on this side and we loved it. The accommodations were outstanding, the views peaceful and beautiful, and we loved the lazy river and Sunset pool. Cannot wait to come back!

We really enjoyed this property. Great location next to pool. Very clean and nice! The only negative was confusion with our check out time. Our paperwork said 11 AM including checkout email we received the morning of checkout, but the housecleaner showed up at 10. She was very nice and was just going to wait outside while we finished packing up. My husband asked her about checkout time and she called the office asking what it was since she was told to be there at 10. The lady who answered said we were suppose to be out by 10 and just to tell us to leave. Kinda rude and he heard her on speaker phone. We let the housecleaner in to get started on the empty rooms while we finished. Other than rushing to "get out', everything else was great.

Everything was perfect at this property. It was incredibly clean, and very convenient to the lazy river (which is our preferred hangout at Pointe West) with great views of the pool and the bay. We’re already looking to figure out when we can get back.

This is my 4th condo to stay in at Pointe West & by far my favorite. From beginning to end, it was flawless. Excellent communication with the management company. Easy access into the property. Spotless unit with many extra touches. Excellent view of the lazy river. I will definitely be back.
