Loved the house! Right next to an awesome restaurant and entertainment, ocean views, access to the beach, etc. it was a great getaway and we will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at 979 property (Sunset Sanctuary - Yep, Sunrise & Sunset Views Can't Be Beat Here!). It is dog friendly, really close to the beach and equipped with TVs, Wifi, high quality sheets, bedding, bath towels and kitchen appliances/utensils. Surfside has totally different visitors' profiles - during the week (To relax) and during the weekends (To party). So be aware. The only downside was that the kitchen countertops were dirty and unfortunately, we found some live cockroaches and new ones were coming almost every day. We highlighted the issue to 979 and they promptly provided RAID to us and contacted the pest company, but they didnt show up during our stay (1 week). Although the property has water filter system, I do recommend using the RO water filter system on the kitchen to brush teeth and cook since the quality of the water on the region is really not good. Also bring mosquito spray, because they can get really bad in some nights. We had a great time!

As for the countertops, since this is a direct seaside location, we are nothing short of sand, salt, and humidity, in which the moment you open the door, they all come in and like to land on flat surfaces. Perhaps, that is what you were seeing/feeling? Regardless, we've passed along your feedback to our housekeepers. All of our homes are on professional and regular pest control treatment plans. However, pending an upcoming storm (like the one we just experienced), bugs like cockroaches will seek higher ground to avoid being swept away/drowning even if risking areas being treated. Wish they weren't that smart, as we don't love them either, and they certainly are not invited guests! We appreciate the tips for future guests as well. Thanks again!

Had a work training trip that morphed into a weekend vacation. I elected to stay at this listing due to proximity to training and the beach. Excellent walking distance to the beach and ample parking. Amenities were great, bbq pit, clothing washing machines, and rinsing shower were all great to use during the stay. Be advised, MOSQUITO REPELLENT is a must if staying here.

Great place! We booked over a notoriously busy holiday weekend, so we had to deal with a lot of traffic on the beach and on the road where the home is located, but the home itself was great and exactly what we needed!

We really enjoyed our stay. We were a minute walk to the beach and the view on the deck was wonderful. The kitchen had more than what we needed, they thought of everything! Really comfortable place to relax.

This house was pretty good, but could have been so much better. The good - loved the location, views, layout, and being able to bring our dogs. The kitchen was pretty well equipped. The Management co was helpful and responsive. The cons - all the wooden furniture was about to fall apart. All the rugs were gross and dirty. A light did not work in the master bath. One hair dryer was useless because it only blew cold air. The refrigerator is strangely in the living room - I guess too big for the designated space in the kitchen. The neighbors partied loudly and it was hard to sleep. Master bed not the most comfortable Not sure if we would return but we did love the location.

Hi Rebecca, it is a lovely location and home, thank you for noting. In our sandy, salty and sea air environment (while great for the beach), it is tough on all furnishings, but it is especially rough on outdoor ones. It is a constant battle. That said, we will definitely check them out. As for the rugs, sadly, this is a result of the tar balls on the beach and guests bringing it in. You can read all about it. It is not a matter of then being clean. Our maintenance manager will check out the light in the master bath and also check that hair dryer, no problem. Regarding the neighbors, unfortunately not in our control and was also a holiday weekend. We haven't had any mention concerns with the master bed comfortability, may be personal preference, but we will pass along your feedback to the owner.

the location is great! the host, it wasn't friendly in the beginning, and they gave me the door code at 1030pm he makes me wait almost 2 hours sitting in front of the house

Hi Nicolas, yes the location is great, and we appreciate you noting that. As for waiting for the code, we both know the issue was not for a lack of response from us and much the other way around. We (very kind Amber & Ashley) repeatedly contacted you via email, text and phone prior to your stay to finalize your payment, so we could issue the code, in which you chose to ignore them. We're sorry you had to wait, but it wasn't for a lack of trying to help you on our part. Hope you enjoyed a great time otherwise, it is a beautiful place.

Beautiful home with beautiful views. This place has everything you would need to cook in the kitchen. Area around the kitchen table is extremely tight. But this place is a definite 10 out of 10.

This house was perfect for our family of 5! Kids loved the bunk beds. Being able to walk just a few house down to the beach was amazingly convenient with 3 kids in tow. They have several “kid-safety” measures in place that we really appreciated while having a toddler there: like a gate to block off the steep porch stairs, a hook lock located up high on the door, etc. Our only caution to others with young kids, the primary bathroom has a tub/shower combo that is extremely slick. Two of our kiddos slipped and fell, luckily no one got hurt. Overall, it was clean, super convenient beach access, and a hop skip and a jump to a nice beach side bar & grill.

We enjoyed sitting on the deck's captains chairs and enjoying the views. The house was nice! The towels and linens were very nice! It was perfect timing for a beach trip. The beach was pretty empty and the water was very calm and clear. There was a lot of work going on to clean up after the hurricane and still a bit of debris around. But, other than that, it was a great get away with a wonderful view of the ocean.

The stay was absolutely terrible. I wish I could post all the pictures my family and I took( I did send them to the property management team) The air filter and the screen was completely dirty. It was filled with hair, dust, and who knows what else. Upon noticing the filter, we notice the first morning we were there, the influx of cockroaches. They were everywhere. We reached out the property management team and they told us….”we just sprayed the house so they are probably coming but they should be dying.” These roaches were not dying and they failed to mention to us that the house was filled with them. If they would have…. We would have cancelled our stay and have our money refunded. We were told they would send the maintenance people out to leave us some roach spray(go figure…. No one showed up). My family and I have been coming down to Surfside for 4 years now and this was the worst house EVER! Please do not waste your time on this property.

We spent hours on the spacious deck. Even in the heat of the day there was always a cooling breeze. The kitchen was awesome and well appointed. Updated bathrooms were a plus. The house is starting to show a little wear and tear. The stairs need to be texturized as they are slippery when wet. Primary guests were 70 and 71, maybe a bit too old for the neighborhood.

Wonderful getaway! The cabin was beautiful inside and out. It felt very secluded even though there were cabins in the area. An unexpected bonus was the Hatch Sound Machine that added to the peaceful and quiet ambiance. We left rested and renewed.

This cute and cozy house was clean and well atocked. We have stayed in other places where we had to either buy or bring with us extra kitchen supplies, but not here all we needed was made available for us. It was a very peaceful stay and provided a much needed break from the pandemic. Sleeping areas were very comfy and our bathrooms were beautiful. The kitchen had everything that we needed ! The decor and lighting was a nice touch. I took advantage of the deck where I spent hours drawing. It only took 5 minutes to walk to the beach!

Sunset Sanctuary was a great little getaway for us for Christmas week. The property was clean and cute and had everything we needed. Pictures in listing are accurate. Very quick walk to beach and wonderful views of the beach from the deck. Very laid back. We would recommend this property.

My fiancé and I stayed here for more than a month with our dog to get out of the Midwest winter. We could not have asked for more in a rental home. This house was beyond stocked and the kitchen had more appliances than my own at home. The gated deck was perfect for us to spend our time, it had so many seating options. The best part of our days were watching the sun rise from our deck. It has the most beautiful view of the beach. Overall, we had a great stay. We cannot wait to come back and would recommend this house to anyone.

The property was clean for the most part but we felt some of the furniture was worn and should be replaced, the recliner & coffee table for 2 examples. The view was spectacular for watching fireworks and watching the waves from the deck. The deck was our favorite spot, and it’s a quick walk to the beach, 3 houses from the sand. The staff was very nice and helpful. The hone is stocked pretty good. The restaurants are slim pickin’s, with poor reviews. Take plenty of food with you. We had a great time, thank you for letting people enjoy it.
