The Space

With 2 well-appointed bedrooms with luxurious bedding, large bathroom with extra vanity in master and all your vacation essentials, you're sure to find comfort at our Sandpiper Stay condo. And, with shiny stainless steel appliances and fresh gleaming granite countertops, the fully-stocked kitchen will be sure to delight even the gourmet chef in your group!

Head into the main living area to find a large flat screen TV and DVD player while you sink into the comfortable couches. You'll also find a cozy ambiance rich fireplace and beautiful coastal decor to add to the getaway experience.

Looking to take advantage of the outdoors? Of course you are! Well, we've got a great spot right around the corner (steps away) with a huge deck to grill and chill surrounded by lush tropical plantings! Bring your favorite grillables, bluetooth speaker and just take it all in! You're on island time! And after that, head to the cool in the blue pool, also nearby in the community, for some fun in the sun!

And what would a beach vacation be without the beach? You're right across the street from the seawall with miles and miles of sandy beach and sparking Gulf water! While you can certainly walk to the seawall at Diamond Beach (5 min), given the road and carrying your beach gear, it may be best to drive to nearby beach access point 6. It's up to you and your adventure level!

PALMS AT COVE VIEW:
Conveniently located on the West End of Galveston, Cove View is a well-kept condo complex offering a beautiful pool, workout room and lush tropical landscaping amongst towering palms. It is a quick drive to the shops, grocery stores and local fun spots along the Seawall. HOA/condo association requires an image/photo of all adult guests' ID to stay within the community for your safety and the safety of others within the community.

Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!

979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:
All 979 rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - and good news, No Security Deposit Required!

CANCELLATION POLICY:
For any new reservation, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations.

After that, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less the booking fee.

Reservations made on 3rd party channels/OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, Hopper etc may be subject to their terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. Please reference the site where you originally reserved your stay.

Love it had a blast. Its not far from anything but not so busy you couldn't drive around. I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the place for the most part. Two things would have made our stay more enjoyable. 1) We had a very clogged sink. Not easy to have only one working sink for a family of four when the working sink is inside the bathroom while somebody is already using the bathroom. 2) The gym opened at 9:30 AM. That is too late. It basically sounds like they don’t want anyone to use the gym.

The condo was spotless and furnished nicely. The master bedroom gave me privacy, while my grandsons also had a room to share. The full kitchen helped us save on food costs. The pool was very clean as well, and never crowded.

Overall it was a nice property and the condo was pleasantly decorated and provided ample space. Unfortunately, it had a very strong musty odor that triggered allergy symptoms. Also our ice from the ice maker had a strange "fishy" odor even after we dumped the ice and washed the ice tray to start fresh. The sink off the master bedroom drained very slowly. Although I liked the actual complex I would not rent this particular condo again.

This condo is cute and in a good location, it’s very basic. The hoops you have to jump through in order to book it is excessive. It’s managed by a company which you can feel with the lack of personal response. The complaints or suggestions on how to make the place more comfortable were not responded too. There is no outdoor space, patio - no where to enjoy the outdoors. There are plenty of places to choose from, I would keep looking next time.

Enjoyed 16 days in this clean condo. The bed is extra soft and not the most comfortable. Location was on the western part of the island and quiet. Beach access very close by. We would rent again.

Place was nice rather small. Thought 1 room had a full and twin but it only had 2 twins. Pool was nice but the " pool police" were ridiculous! Too far away from the activities. Thought it was walking distance but it was not

First I will preface this by saying it’s not a bad little apartment at all and we would stay again just a few things could/would make it better. The owner recently updated from cable to Roku but there is not one in the smaller bedroom. For that you have to bring DVD’s…who uses DVD’s anymore? So my kids couldn’t chill in their room to watch TV. And there’s only one Roku remote so you’re either sharing between the living and bedroom or you have to download one on your phone. There are peeling paint spots in the vanity area on the ceiling. Kinda yucky to notice. They only give 3 laundry pods, 3 dish pods and one towel/washcloth per person…for the cost, in my opinion, you either provide enough towels & washcloths for everyone for the length of the stay or offer more pods for the stay. We are a family of four who went to the beach and showered daily…if we would have had one pod per day of stay we would have been fine but with only 3 we had to go purchase more which again…not a ridiculous ask but it seems it would be a bit more customer friendly to ensure enough supplies for the short stay. There is a musty smell to the place, I’m not sure what it’s from but we did have to spray some air freshener to get past it The master bed has a permanent dip in it and we ended up having to sleep at the foot of the bed just so we didn’t sink. That’s NOT a hot tub in the pics of the pool!!! Lol! It’s a water fountain!! These are truly minor inconveniences but just my two cents. It was overall a great lil place to stay and we did enjoy ourselves.

I wished it was more in walking distance of the Seawall but overall we enjoyed our stay. It had one bathroom but it had a vanity and sink in the main bath and master bedroom. Bathroom Set up was a little strange But it worked fine for just 4 adults.

We had major issues finding our unit. Arrived in the dark around 5:00 p.m. and found a complex with approx. 5 or 6 buildings that were poorly marked. We had to park and run up walkways and down ally ways to locate our unit. Then had no idea where to park to access unit. A simple map would have been nice. 1 days prior to our flight we received notice that the pool area would be closed for one week of our 2 week stay. That also meant that the sun deck would also be closed and therefore we had no outdoor space to relax in. The unit was small and 4 adults would have had a tough time cohabiting in the space. Exactly 4 towels were issued. Unit was nicely decorated and the basics were provided. Some nice extras were a few detergents and shampoos. The refrig was extremely noisy and the water filter replacement light was on. The pool area did not open after one week so we never had a chance to relax in that area. Due to concerns about travel restrictions we left 2 days early.

We usually stay right on the Seawall BUT I was pleasantly surprised how nice this place was. Great location with wonderful neighbors. Kitchen was well equiped down to the paper plates and S/P. So beautifully decorated and very spacious. The rental company were friendly, helpful, and responded promptly. I would definitely recommend it and will stay here again.

Condo community and condo itself were very well taken care of comfortable. Weather was a bit cooler than expected, but the heated pool was a pleasant surprise! We took advantage of the great grilling area and close proximity to the beach. Kitchen was nicely stocked and ALL new - bonus! Easy to park but would have been better if covered when raining. Not a big deal. Would definitely come back!

It was a quick trip to Galveston and located the Phea condo. The condo was imaculant, everything you need was available. It’s walking distance to the beach with everything close by. Mr. And Mrs. Phea were wonderful people, very gracious and kind. No doubt that we’d visit again every year. Highly recommended.

Our stay would have been better but the bed on the master bedroom is horrible. Mattress might be too old and we could not stay in the bed. We had to sleep in the living room. Our stay was uncomfortable. Also, staff in the pool were rude when we showed up without passes. They could have been nicer to request them.
