Osprey Watch Stunning Oceanfront Inside Out

The house was just as described. Clean, comfortable and very spacious. They even had a welcome basket and treats for our dog. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook meals while you're there. Communication was good and we didn't have any issues with the property. Both floors had a deck looking out on to the Gulf and there is a path leading down to the beach. We were there in December so the beaches were empty but the weather was still warm enough to enjoy it. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was very nice and easy access to the beach. The only issue we had was the construction on the house next door. It was very loud and made it hard to enjoy outside of the house.

We're sorry that the nearby construction (seems to be everywhere these days) impacted the peaceful experience you were hoping for. Unfortunately, while we don’t have control over work happening on neighboring properties nor their completion time, we understand how frustrating that can be. We do hope you got a chance to utilize the amenities of the beach in the backyard, sea breezes and surf sounds.

The house was beautiful, relaxing and the beds were a happy surprise in that they were so, so comfortable. The 979 Crew was a treasure in that they were responsive in a very timely manner and so helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Just returned from our family vacation. It was a great house had great sleeping spaces for our 4 family units that stayed with us. Deck space was great. Master bedroom and downstairs bedroom felt great but the other two seemed a little warm at times but did not affect our vacation. The short walk and access was perfect for our family and littles to enjoy the beach. We would definitely return

Things that were great: Direct beach access with a great view. Spacious home with plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms for two families. Washer/dryer available. The home was very lovely even though it’s a little older than most of the surrounding ones. We also didn’t have a problem with humidity (lots of de-humidifiers are around the house) or with staying cool inside. Things that weren’t so great: New construction less than 3 feet from your head if you’re in the upstairs master bedroom so no sleeping past 6:45am. The balcony door in the master only stays closed if it’s locked so say goodbye to your air conditioning in the room if you want to go out and enjoy the view. The bed frame in the master broke on the second night (it had clearly been poorly repaired prior to this instance) so we slept on the mattress on the floor for the remainder of the trip. Over-all, it was one of the okayist family trips we’ve ever been on :)

This home really does have an amazing view and seaside location, thank you for noting Brin! We're also appreciate you complimenting the home size, configuration, and comfortably cool and dry temperature. This home was remodeled top to bottom less than 2 years ago. We're sorry about the early sounds from the construction. Unfortunately not in our control but at least it is and was temporary. As for the door off the master bedroom, it secures and closes just fine (we checked just to be sure) without being locked. It is a hurricane style door and does by design require the handle/lever to be pulled up to secure closed but does not need to be locked. We're so sorry the bed frame gave way, my goodness. Had we known, we would have been more than happy to send our maintenance team by to repair or replace - no problem at all. However, we apologize for any inconvenience or uncomfortableness that may have caused. We're disappointed your experience was good rather than great. We do appreciate you for allowing us to host your family.

Great place next to the beach, house was in good condition. The indoor security system was really annoying to have it turned off. Needed to get law enforcement to get the key holders contact to have it turned off, while we rented the house.

This is a great place, thank you for noting Menno! We appreciate the 5-stars as well. As for the security system, it is automatically setup to disarm during guest stays. Unfortunately, when someone from your group started messing with it at night, this armed it. The owner of the home was alerted at that time by the system and disarmed it without being prompted by you or your call to the police. We ask that guests please refrain from using it for this reason. Great place. So comfortable and welcoming. The beds and bedding were so nice! I loved the master bedroom. So comfortable! Really is a beautiful house. Had everything we needed with great beach access. There were tons of mosquitoes but that is everywhere in Galveston and Houston. Make sure you take your Off! Quiet neighborhood. Just a great place. We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was just as described. The rooms were spacious and decorated nicely. Linens were very clean and soft. Kitchen had room for all of us with a big refrigerator! The oceans views were magnificent!! The beach was easily accessible. We were a very short drive to all of the Galveston amenities. My family and I enjoyed our stay tremendously and highly recommend this house for your Galveston vacation. Jeanne

The house is in a perfect location with beautiful views. The only drawback was trying to get to the beach. There is a small walkway to the very side but with all the rain the mosquitos carried us away. As for the house, we loved that each bedroom was very large and had its own bathroom. The house wasn’t very clean though. There was dog hair all over the floors & the sheets. We had to wash one of the master bedroom linens due to the excessive dog hair. The master shower and one of the bedrooms upstairs drains were not working. It took awhile to get a hold of someone but they sent someone out to clear them. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will probably book again!

We appreciate you allowing us to host your stay and are delighted you enjoyed this scenic spot and configuration! Unfortunately, the rains do welcome in those mosquitoes and your stay time was not short of precipitation. We so wish we could control both of those for our guests. This is a dog friendly home and the vents release hair upon occasion when the AC kicks in. Overall we had a great stay. We did arrive during a tropical storm to leaking windows and water running down the walls and had to immediately clean up a mess and wash bedding that had gotten wet. I called the after check in phone number, and the lady I spoke with was very nice and tried to be as helpful as possible, even though she was dealing with alot of flooding issues all over the island. I completely understand our issue was very minor compared to those, I just wanted to bring it to their attention. She said she would send someone over the next day when they were available, but we never saw anyone. The house is in the perfect location, during the week the beach was more secluded and private but did get busier on the weekend. The neighborhood is very quiet and away from the noise of the Seawall. The house was very comfortable and very well laid out. I would definitely rent this house again. Sitting on the deck, watching and listening to the waves was the best part. Highly recommend

The home and location were great. Getting to the beach was a bit of a pain as there is a large, overgrown section of foliage blocking the path. The neighborhood was easy to get to and is close, but not too close, to shops, restaurants, and other Seawall Blvd activities. We all had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home.

Great location for the family. Views of the beach, spacious living room and kitchen. Heating and AC worked great. Kitchen was well stocked with necessary items to cook. Great value close to town and secluded enough with easy beach access.

This was a beautiful home with nice space. It had been renovated since the pictures but the sleeping arrangements were very nice. The view of the beach and access to the beach was great. We enjoyed the large living space and the porches on both levels to see the beach and those amazing sunrises.

HOUSE IS GORGEOUS!!! All rooms were great and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed. A/C worked well, even with the TX heat being against us. Only issue: not a clear pathway from house directly to the beach, we had to go around the houses to main roads (only a 5 minute walk).

Having grown up in the Galveston area I can honestly say that this is a fantastic location! It was so close to everything we wanted to frequent /visit on the island. The cute neighborhood was perfect and the neighbors were quiet. Getting to and from the beach was so convenient and the view all day and night was beautiful. As for the home itself, it was very clean, well stocked with everything from kitchen items to cleaning products/ materials and so spacious! Having a bathroom designated to each bedroom upstairs was a special bonus. The interior was updated and beautifully decorated. It was so comfortable and convenient in every way. I loved my stay here and will definitely be back for more!

Our group of 5 ladies had an enjoyable visit at Osprey Watch. We traveled to Galveston for a baby shower nearby.The host answered all our questions and responded to our needs quickly. The house was clean but could use some updating mostly on the outside. There is a house right next door under construction that could cause some issues for some but didn't for our group.

This group of friends does an annual fall trip to Galveston. In our 10 year history this is our very favorite house! It’s the second time for us and even better than the first. The home is spacious, beautiful and well appointed and the beach views are lovely! We especially live the big, well stocked kitchen. We hope to return next year!!!

Lone Star Motorcycle Rally. Our church motorcycle group of 8 stayed for a long weekend. This property was amazing! Very clean with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. All beds were comfortable with private bathrooms. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a beach house.. The only thing I would change was the amount of towels and washcloths provided to shower. A few extra per bathroom would enable the women to have enough for hair and body. Beautiful property and will be back next year for the same event!

Overall, a lovely property in a fun area. The weather did not cooperate for us at all, but that can’t be helped. The house has everything you’d want as a renter. One of the shower curtains appeared to be moldy on the inside, the primary shower floor has very slippery tile but the appliances and ambiance of the nearby beach make up for that. The unfortunate part of our stay (other than the dense fog every day) is that a home being constructed right next door made for horrendous noise, even with the doors closed.

We had a beautiful stay! We used to rent this beach house with another company and when we got the chance to stay here again we jumped at the chance. Everything was better than we ever remembered it. The views were beautiful and the house was cleaner than any other rental we have stayed in. Thanks for a wonderful stay, hope to come back next year!

The location on the beach and proximity to town are great. I rented the house next door too and that was how we got to the beach. No direct beach access is not clear in the listing. The house itself is lovely. Plenary of room and amenities. I would rent again.
