Jamaica Beach Gem Huge Deck Fenced Pups Welcome

We had a wonderful stay! The house was great and we loved the huge fenced yard for our dog. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking during our month long stay, and the location had great access to the beach.

The house is nice, clean, a short walk to an uncrowded beach. I was surprised at the high quality appliances, beds were great, bedding was clean and comfortable. Great dishes and utensils. I would wish for more towels. My only c/o was that I was unaware of the separate dog fee of $125 for first dog and $75 for second. Just be aware of this for next time. I would stay here again. No c/o on the property. Nice short term rental in a quiet neighborhood.

Just FYI you have to drive to the beach but you can park your car in the beach. Also keep in mind that it’s 30 minutes from downtown Galveston. It’s a cute house though everything worked properly and I loved the fenced yard!

the beach house is excellent, very clean. having the fence was perfect. We had some small issues at the beginning but for the most part it was good. The beds are very comfortable. The place was peaceful. We had a good time. If anything but not a deal breaker, it would be good to have more than one TV especially with Kids besides that, great place!

The Jamacia Beach gem was beyond perfect for me and my husband. We could not have been more pleased with our stay and the house met all of our needs. We want to share these details. Our biggest love was the beaches. You can walk to the beach across the highway in just a few minutes but better yet you can drive your car on the beach and literally park right by the water. We drove over to the beach every morning to watch the spectacular sunrises and spent every afternoon basking in the sun. The master king size bed was amazing. Sleeping in a comfortable bed on vacation is so important to us and this bed was super comfy. The showers and water pressure were great. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could need. The couch was roomy and great for relaxing. The fenced yard was terrific for our chihuahua and the shower right inside the front fence washed the sand off us. This house is beyond 5 stars and we would highly recommend! The house is about 10 minutes outside of Galveston which takes you out of the busy city but close enough to easily get to all of the attractions. We would suggest bug spray if you sit outside…the mesquites are Texas giant sized.

House was very clean and well decorated, the quality for towels was amazing and there was a lot of utensils and kitchen items available to be able to cook easily. There was also a little basket for us with dishwasher pods, laundry pods, dish soap, sponge and a few little bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Very nice attention. The only thing that bothered us was the mattress that we did not like and we did not sleep well but this is maybe a personal preference. Overall, it was very pleasant to stay in this house. This was our first time in Jamaica Beach, usually we stay a couple miles closer to Galveston and I preferred Jamaica beach. Very convenient as you have a gas station, a few little stores close and you can also park on the beach itself. I recommend this property and we will definitely check for this house again if we want to come back in the area.

My family (me, my husband, and my 12-year-old daughter), plus 2 of our daughter's friends rented this property for our Spring Break in Galveston. The house was small but beautiful. The deck was such a nice place to hang out for some quiet (3 12-year-old girls can be loud) for me and my dog. The backyard had a nice high fence for my dog. There was even a little welcome basket for us. The neighborhood was directly across from a beach access which was very convenient. Overall, our stay was amazing and we will be back.

nice older home but clean bring your golf cart if you have one. more towels and a good skillet they have one but everything sticks.we loved our stay we being 3 adults it was a great stay at the beach!and the management were great!

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The property was clean and welcoming. Everything was as shown in the listing. Comfortable beds, fenced yard for the pup, and thoughtful gestures from the management. It was nice to be out of the hustle and bustle yet still be close enough to Galveston Beach for the excitement. Definitely will stay here again. Jamaica Beach is beautiful and a great place to hang out on the beach, bike around or walk.

We had a wonderful stay at Jamaica Beach Gem! Because it was our 20th anniversary I wanted to upgrade to a house instead of a hotel/condo. I came across this place and thought it looked good. When we got there it was even better. The enclosed fence was a huge reason bc we brought our two pups with us. It was a game changer having an enclosed fence for them. Upon walking into the house…the decor was great, the house smelled and looked super clean and the air was running and felt great. It was all stocked very well with kitchen stuff, laundry and soaps for personal use. As the pups were running in the yard, we got ready for the beach and headed over just across the street. Super convenient! We grabbed some pizza at the Way West grill next door and day one was complete! The following days rotated between the local pool, different beaches, downtown Galveston and our anniversary dinner. The whole experience was super fun, relaxing and our kids enjoyed it too! So easy to work with! I locked my phone in the house the second day we were there with the door code on it so we couldn’t get back in. Called the number from the website on my husband’s phone and she was able to confirm my registration info and send text the code to my husband’s number so we could get back in. Less than 7 minutes all was handled!

Comfortable beach house with everything needed. Nice large deck and fenced in yard for a dog. The bikes are a nice bonus. Easy biking through the neighborhoods and on beach. Highly recommended.

Beautiful house with everything you could need. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday and Mother's Day here. The place was clean and tidy. The deck is wonderful and we spent a lot of time there. We bought our dogs with us and they enjoyed the deck too. Really peaceful area and we were able to relax and enjoy some family time. Thank you

Great location. Fantastic deck with gulf breezes. Well-appointed kitchen - everything we needed. Gas grill worked well. Management team outstanding - responded to a couple minor issues quickly. Double beds comfy but small - but that is a personal preference. Walk a few blocks to beach. Quiet neighborhood. Would stay again!

We had some issues with the property. There were cleanliness issues (dirty oven hood, etc..) as well as missing light bulbs and lamps that didn't work. Beds were small but still Comfortable. I had to run to the garage to grab a broom and stepped on a dying roach. Yuck. Toilets had a hard time and ran even when we jiggled the handles. I had a cold shower before I realized the hot and cold are backwards. The beach was across a major road and you need a car to drive or a golf cart. It wasn't a bad place but a bit small for me and my 3 kids and two dogs. I may not stay here again just based on that. Management was friendly.

House was nice and comfortable!! We would stay there again! Only bad thing was all the mosquitoes outside the house! Owners need to spray the area for mosquitoes and a few ants in the kitchen. Other than that it was a great place! We enjoyed it a lot!

We stayed here for 3 nights and everything was great. The only issue was that the toaster didn't work. But we just used the oven instead. The drive from the beach to the house was so short and so easy! Loved it all!

I was pleasantly surprised by the floor plan on this home. We had 4 adults and 2 children ( 10 and 19). It made it easy for us to all sleep and still maintain privacy. 2 bedrooms with ample closet space, 2 bathrooms and a washer and dryer, plus the deck had a gate so our dogs could spend outdoor time with us. Bonus was under the deck shade space that we tied our dogs out and sat outside with them in the nice grass. The yard is well manicured and the house is nicely decorated. Everything you needed was provided. I must give the manager Drew a shout out too. We had a water leak on a Saturday morning. I texted him and he personally stayed with it (keeping us up to date on the fix with texts back) until the problem was resolved. Highly recommend this rental!!! I’m already trying to plan a trip to come back and stay here.

Very, very clean. A quick drive or nice bike ride to the beach. Very quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the deck. We rode the bikes a lot! That was fun. Beds were clean and very comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with supplies you would find at home. Overall, a very relaxing stay. We will definitely be staying here again.

This property is very clean and has a nice layout / flow. The kitchen is well supplied. There were plenty of linens, bath towels, etc. As it was our first rental, we brought way more than was necessary. Plenty of pots and pans, storage containers, cooking sheets. Just needed to bring the one-offs. We had a fantastic stay. I could just go on and on about this place. The neighborhood is quiet. The location is very close to the beach; a nice walk or short drive. West Bay is right in the subdivision so my husband was able to get some fishing in. Convenient location to Seven Seas grocery and gas stations, other amenities. We would definitely stay here again. Steven and Derek (sp) were very responsive during the whole process of renting, answering my myriad of questions. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

Great little two bedroom, two bath house that was close enough to walk to the beach. The only thing that was wrong was the umbrella on the patio I think was broken because it would not go up or down. Maybe it worked and I just couldn’t figure it out lol. The gentleman who I contacted on the first day was awesome! I can’t remember his name but he responded promptly. Finding this house was easy and loved the fact that it had the beach on one side and canal/bay on the other. If you drive past the street to the house and turn right at the stop sign there is a cute little picnic area looking out at the water. The neighborhood was great fun upbeat people. Loved the way the rental procedure is set up. Very easy and no hassle. Great little outdoor shower to rinse off. The house had all cooking utensils we could have needed. I think the book was wrong on trash day though because it said to put out at the road Monday night but it came Monday morning. Might have had the dates changed for upcoming holiday though I’m not sure. Had a blast on this trip and would definitely stay here again!

This is an excellent choice if you want a quiet place to stay close to the beach. We were there the first week of June, and the Jamaica Beach beaches were very uncrowded and the water was great. The house was clean and convenient, about two blocks from a small convenience store and three or four from the beach. We drive to carry all our chairs and stuff, but you could easily walk if you travel light. We also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and looking at the houses. This house is great for a quiet trip. It’s about a 20 minute drive (depending on traffic) down to Galveston, where there is plenty to do and see. We bought groceries and cooked for ourselves mostly. The house includes everything you need to make meals. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

This house is really close to the beach but not much else. It was a great place to unwind and hang out with the pups. My only complaint is that the house is missing a few amenities, or essential items in my opinion. There is not a grill brush or dust pan for cleaning up. If you go to the beach and track in sand, you have to haul out a vacuum to clean it up. We ended up buying our own grill brush after looking for one for the first two days. The grill was really dirty, and the rental manual mentions cleaning it after you are done with it, but you cant expect renters to clean something without giving them the tools. Also, since the space sleeps 6, more than 4 towels would be appreciated.

This house is fantastic. The fenced yard for the dogs was perfect. The kitchen is well stocked and it was very clean. Having the grill on the deck was great. We used it 2 of the 4 nights we were there. The management company was very responsive to questions. I’m picky about sheets and towels. Both were nice. My only complaint was not having a few extra towels. We would definitely stay again.

The small house is perfect for a family get away. Any amenity that you might is provide in a clean environment. The large deck was perfect for a place to relax. Our dog loves to hang out on the deck and roll in the yard. The local beach is the best family beach that I have been to. So much more relaxing than a hotel. Will definitely be doing this trip again in the future.

This property was a blast! Next time we go, I will look into renting a golf cart to get to the beach, but it was wonderfully clean and well kept. I would highly recommend this property! The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs.

Property was clean,well equipped and beds comfortable with nice linens and towels.Feel that bathrooms need upgrade.We had issues with the toilets in both bathrooms and the shower not draining in the larger bathroom.Would also have liked a hairdryer to be available.The Umbrella on the deck was broken and so we had no shade .The yard had a area under the upper deck(in front of the gates)that had standing water which attracts mosquitos and made it miserable to sit outside.We feel it would benefit from the concrete pad being extended and some kind of seating put down there so that you would have shade from the deck above and make more use of the grass,fenced yard.

This truly is a gem! The place was so clean and cozy and we were welcomed with a special note from 979 apologizing for a broken curtain rod. This was a nice touch. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. We’ll definitely rent again.

This home is the perfect size for a family of 4-6. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen is well stocked and fenced yard was large and safe for our dog. Kids loved riding the bikes around the neighborhood.
