Bluefin Amazing Panoramic Sea Bridge Bay Views

Our family stayed for the week of thanksgiving and it was wonderful. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. The beach was beautiful and it was in the perfect location. We will definitely be staying again! Thank you so much!

The location of this property is fantastic. It's in a quiet neighborhood and conveniently close to the beach, which we enjoyed for our 10-day stay. However, we encountered some major issues. Upon arrival, the house appeared clean, but we soon discovered a widespread cockroach problem. They were present in every room, including inside kitchen pots and pans, dressers, and even in the beds. We reported this to the host, whose response was that this is common in humid climates and that the house is on a professional pest control schedule. They did provide bait stations when asked. Additionally, the grill was completely unusable. It was very dirty, rusty, and had missing parts, clearly not having been cleaned in a long time. We also experienced water leaking in through the first-floor windows during rainstorms. While the location is a major plus, the issues with pests and property upkeep significantly impacted our stay, some of our group left early because of the roaches.

Thank you for allowing us to host you and we do agree this location and home are fantastic - we appreciate you noting that. We also appreciate you sharing what you enjoyed about the home, especially the quiet location and proximity to the beach. We are, however, sorry to hear that parts of your stay were impacted by the weather and storms during your time on the island including the window leaks from sideways rain. Coastal Texas can be challenging during periods of extreme weather, especially following heavy storms when pests—unfortunately including cockroaches—often seek shelter in even well-maintained and professionally treated homes. While we do have a regular pest control service in place and responded with additional bait at your request, we understand how unsettling this was and regret that it affected your group’s experience. Regarding the grill, we did check it out throughly after your departure and are not sure what grill you were trying to use? The one for this home is located in the garage and is fully intact. In fact, compared to most grills on the island (with the sand, salt, and humidity doing their finest) it is much better shape. Thank you again for staying with us.

Our family of 10 felt right at home. The 2 separate living rooms and well stocked kitchen were great to have. The views were amazing and it was a short walk to the beach. We can't wait to come back because everyone had such a wonderful time!

When we first arrived and were going through the house the first thing that I noticed was that the toilet paper holder in the upstairs bathroom was on the floor. Whoever tried to fix it didn't. I fixed it. Also, the pictures that you advertise do not properly reflect what the home looks like. The three bedrooms on the main floor are so close together and is very congestive. The two bedrooms with the single beds should have stated that they are doubles, not even close to queens and very close quarters. It would have been nice to have some bar soap, the liquid soap does not work well when washing your face etc. In the kitchen the drawer with the utensils does not close tight. I had to continually close it with no success. On a brighter note, the house was very clean.

Thank you for allowing us to host your stay George, and we do appreciate you noting the cleanliness of the the home! It really is a lovely place. We're not sure what happened to the toilet paper holder, but we're sorry it became unattached and will have our maintenance team check it out. As for the layout, this is actually popular plan, and we haven't had any other guest mention it being congested (it's actually a larger size beach home) and actually quite the contrary. Perhaps just more of personal preference just like bar vs liquid soap? It sounds like you may have benefited with looking at the photos a bit closer and also read through what supplies we provide during your stay. Regardless, we take all feedback to heart.

The house was nice and in a great location and neighborhood. Just a quick walk to the beach from the house. The house is as described in the listing. Make sure to read the house rules in its entirety. I failed to do this and didn’t realize that they limit dogs to two and also charge an additional $75 fee for the 2nd dog. There are also several forms you have to complete which requires you to input all guest names and ages (for insurance purposes) prior to getting approved to stay. You also aren’t allowed to have any outside guests aside from those listed under the reservation. It was very restrictive IMO but as long as you know that up front, it’s a lovely home.

The house was very clean and new. It is 2 story with most bedrooms downstairs and the living/kitchen open plan with an extra bedroom upstairs. Nice porch to see and hear the waves. I like that the house is positioned so that all of the windows provide a view of the water. It was a walk down the road to the beach which was slightly difficult when we went as a mountain of sand that was scraped was blocking access. I would prefer that the home had softer beds but I am used to memory foam. Bring your own pillows as those provided are very small/flat. Overall we had a great time and I recommend this lovely property.

Just a quick trip to relax & recharge. Very nice house. Enjoyed the beach & the views from the house. Quiet neighborhood. Clean beach. Pet friendly. No mosquitoes or seaweed over Spring Break. It’s a short walk to the beach but if you have beach stuff in tow and forgot your golf cart lol or wagon, you can drive & park in the parking spots on the next block over (Jolly Roger). It’s a nice location if you like quiet - there aren’t that many restaurants nearby so that may be something to consider if you like to eat out.

Our entire family had such a wonderful time on our vacation and largely due to the beach house. It was the perfect size and so comfortable and clean. The local was perfect as well. I will definitely recommend it to my family and friends and hope to return in the future. The communication with the owner was incredible. They were very quick to respond with questions we had. We give it a 5 star rating for sure!

We just got back after a short stay at the Bluefin Beach House during Spring Break. The house is clean and as beautiful as advertised. Erin was a great host and things went so smoothly that I rarely had to reach out to her during our stay. The house is a short walk to the beach which was perfect when we went fishing. You get a beautiful view of the beach from the top deck which is so relaxing. We won't hesitate to rebook this home for our next trip.

This house is amazing!! We had 10 in our group, 4 adults and 6 kids, plus a furry 4-legged ‘kid’. The layout of bedrooms is very good, as well as the layout of the home. The deck overlooks the ocean and you can catch some beautiful sunrises! The furniture outside is well maintained and clean. You also have access to the storage facility which is great to store your wagons, fishing gear and beach toys. There are also plenty of chairs and beach toys to borrow if you forgot anything. The kitchen is well stocked!! There was an amazing huge pot that I will be purchasing because it held enough to feed everyone. It also has a griddle, plenty of plates and cups, and kitchen gadgets. The fridge is well taken care of and because the home has a filter you can use the fridge ice and water. Be prepared for stairs!! Especially when hauling up and down! But your calves and quads look great after a week! The only small issue we had was taken care of within an hour of messaging. And someone from the management company came to the home themselves! Everyone is quick to respond and were so easy to work with. Would we definitely stay here again, and rent through 979 Rentals!

The stay was nice at this location. Owner’s were very responsive and kind. Location is very close to the beach. Kitchen is well stocked and spacious. The couch on main floor with kitchen was very cozy! The things we thought could be improved were small fixes in our opinion that would make it a better stay. On the two decks it would be nice to have patio furniture or some sort of chairs to sit on. The picnic tables are nice, but chairs or loungers seem very appropriate for such a nice space. The basketball goal is no longer there so kids didn’t get to shoot some hoops. The rooms are pretty small. So just know that while it does sleep 10 I think it says that on the description, it will be a bit tight in the bedrooms/ hallways. The grill can only be used on the first balcony/deck area. It’s not possible to bring it up to the kitchen level / second deck. This was not convenient when cooking and hanging out. Some of us were upstairs bringing things down to the grill and the cooks were stuck down there while cooking. Would be nice to maybe have a smaller rollout charcoal grill on the upper level that can be brought inside when not in use. Overall I would recommend this location at this price you are getting everything you would need for a nice beach getaway.

Our experience was fantastic! Even with the heavy rain all weekend, the views of the water was still visible from all of the windows! The beach is a short walk down the road and there was plenty of parking for all my guests. There are extra chairs and a grill in the garage along with towels, body wash and toilet paper for all the bathrooms. Everything was well stocked especially the kitchen! Quality mugs and dishes along with serving bowls and pots and pans are in the cabinets. It felt like we were at home with the comfy couches. There is satellite TV with tons of channels but the internet is not really made for streaming Netflix. The beds were comfortable and everyone slept soundly after a full day of games and food. One thing to note, make sure and bring an SUV/truck when you visit because high tide with tropical storms can push some water on the roads and near the dumpsters down the street. Erin messaged with us in a timely manner when we had questions and I look forward to booking this beach house again. I miss the view already!

We were excited about our return trip to bluefin. This house was perfect for us- we had 3 families - ( 3 adults and 6 kids). The double living rooms made it so us old folks could hangout without all the kids. The beds are comfy. There’s plenty of towels for us all. We used the washer and dryer daily. The kitchen had everything we needed (except a tea pitcher. LoL) Beach access to drive on was closed but we managed the walk with 2 awnings, coolers, beach chairs, and toys just fine. Don’t forget mosquito spray though. Loads of the in that area. I wouldn’t think twice about booking bluefin again. It’s a great house.

We enjoyed our stay in this neighborhood and area of the beach; family-friendly and quiet. Mosquitos were extremely aggressive so you can’t enjoy the downstairs area or you’ll be eaten alive. Stay high! Would love to have had a pulley to bring groceries up and down, but we managed. A baby gate and more deck furniture would be nice. The house was clean and plenty of room! A wonderful option for families who want a more secluded section of the beach away from the hustle and bustle of Surfside.

We had a wonderful stay at the Bluefin property in Freeport, TX. The home was clean, well-kept, and had everything we needed for a comfortable trip. The location was perfect—close to the beach and quiet enough to relax. The host was responsive and made check-in easy. We especially enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and all the little touches that made it feel welcoming. Overall, it was a great getaway spot, and we’d happily stay here again!
