E did not stay at this home as it was not habitable. The floors were warped like a rollercoaster water damage in more than one place. There was a large hole in the ceiling from water damage. Not. Very clean and manicured lawn. Lighting outside hmmmm, there was none. The 979 did not want to help us and accommodate for our family of 12 and tried to put us in a home that housed 8. This is not something to blame on the hurricane as we messaged and confirmed all was good and they said yes. 979 does not set foot in there homes and the ones we seen were trash. The 979 will not get my business in the future.

We're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy this home more, and we never want that for any guest. It was an unfortunate situation for both of us. That said, respectfully, your account of the events and condition seems a bit overinflated. Additionally, this is the only home you were in of ours, so the broad stroke statement does not apply. The bottom line is, you didn't like this home. When you requested to move to another one of our homes, we didn't have any other ones available to accommodate a group of your size, so we tried to work with you with what we had. Again, this was a lose lose for both of us Mary. We seem we are not a good match.

We loved our stay here, it's an easy walk to the beach and we had everything we needed! The house is quirky and as described. The host was always responsive, and accommodating!

The house was spacious. Our family had enough room to move around freely without feeling like we were on top of each other. Overall we enjoyed the stay and its close proximity to the beach made our stay even more enjoyable. I wish the weather was a bit warm but we enjoyed walking to the beach nonetheless.

Hi Patricia, thank you for allowing us to host you and hope you enjoyed the island and beach during your stay. We are not aware of any issue with rodents at this home. However, there are certainly creatures outside in nature on our island, and we're sorry if that made you uneasy. You reported a "mouse" outside on your last day, and our maintenance manager brought by bait the same day just in case. That said, we will do a thorough check of everything on the inside. Thank you.

Super fun house layout with kids bunked upstairs. Plenty of room for all 13 of us to hang out when not on the beach. Kitchen was well equipped for our cooking needs. The wagon was a lifesaver for our daily walk to the beach. Saw lots of dolphins. My youngest son loved fishing from the shore. We had a great time! Bring many cans of bug spray. The mosquitoes are ravenous!

Had an amazing time, the location was perfect just little details here and there with broken things. The fridge doesn’t cool enough had to higher the temp in order to keep things cool. One of the sinks in the master bedroom was broken and the balcony had empty beer cans with cigarette buds inside them. Thank you😊

We had a great time for the 2 months we were there. Enjoyed the sunrise and sunsets and loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the view. Very nice stay.

We had a wonderful time. This place was perfect for our group of older adults. There are stairs which is the norm on the coast. The size of the rooms and central location of the kitchen and living area make this house perfect for a small (8) adult gathering.

Overall a great stay and the property description was great. Overall have zero complaints. Heads up - mosquitos are horrible after about 7pm. I would recommend the company do deeper cleaning in the master bathroom shower as you could see some mildew that was missed and the shower curtain was covered in mildew stains. Other than that, had a great time and we all enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely stay again

We enjoyed four days at the house. All of us played on the beach - swimming, collecting seashells and building a sand palace. We were able to grill a couple of meals at the house. The grandkids loved the third floor set up.

We had a total of 11 people this year! 5 adults, and 6 kids! It was perfect, and never felt crowded! We loved that the kids had their own space to play and sleep, and that they were even able to run around and play outside without the adults having to worry too much about anything happening! We loved the proximity to the beach, just a short walk down the road! And it was so quiet compared to the bustle of the main island! Will definitely be returning!

I planned this family gathering for my grandson who turn 12 and it was amazing. The beach house was beautiful and he enjoyed it so much. He and his cousins lived the view of the beach. The kid friendly room upstairs was awesome. Even my 2 yr old had the bed time ever. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Next time we will do later date as the beach was still a little cold for me. Thank you

The property was great. There was a lot of space to put everyone in different bedrooms. The decks were great just to sit outside and enjoy the views. Sand beaches only a short distance away. Comfortable seating areas in multiple locations which allowed everyone to group together. Was a lot of fun.

Great home away from home. Not many steps to get to the main door. Clean and comfortable. Close enough to the beach that we could get a little walk in and get in the water. Quiet neighborhood and didn't worry about traffic. Major chain grocery stores about 30 mins away. And if your grill'n, you'll need charcoal and lighter for the grill that's at the home. Bait shop across the road has ice, milk, eggs...

The house was very comfortable and so close to a completely uncrowded beach! It's quirky and we never gave up trying to figure out where the original house was vs various add ons, but plenty of space and spaces for everyone (we had 5 adults and 5 kids). Kitchen well equipped, great dining/gathering area & table. Quiet friendly neighborhood. Only drawback is that nearest real grocery (other than convenience type stores) is at least 30 minutes away in Lake Jackson, or Galveston, so plan accordingly and you'll be fine! Plan to eat out at Seahorse Bar & Grill near end of bridge at Surfside, excellent food and nice deck with water view.

We really enjoyed the house! It was everything we expected. We had 8 adults and 3 children. Plenty of room and easy access to the beach. There is NO DOUBT our crew would stay here again!!!! Marlon

We had such a great time at Blue Dolphin. There was so much space in the house to gather all together or spread out when needed. The grandkids (6, 4 & 3 years old) loved the upstairs bunk bed room and play area. They had no problem maneuvering the spiral stairs and the height of the bunk beds and rails on them made their parents comfortable with all 3 of the kids sleeping on the top bunks. Having a bathroom up there was super convenient too. The beds were soooo comfortable, the sheets and towels were super soft and clean. Really, we lacked for nothing. Communication between the property manager and owners was easy. Location to beach was close (having a wagon provided helped with hauling all our beach gear and tired kids every day). Recommend you grab your flashlights and look for crabs on the beach at night and check out the Bluewater Bar and Grill down the street. The beach was not crowded and clean. We had a stress free, enjoyable time. Thank you for providing such a wonderful space for us to vacation in.

We had different age groups in our family and everyone was able to find their own space inside, but because of the house’s layout, everyone could still be connected.

Upon arrival, we find water pouring in from the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. The property management company sent someone out, but he was unable to do anything until the next day. We managed to rearrange our sleeping situation for the first night and we were able to use room by the end of the second day after a parade or workers were in and out all day. The following day the property manager wanted to send out the insurance adjuster and the roofer at 7:30 AM I requested a later time since we were on vacation with hopes of sleeping in late, but they came anyway. On our last day, a storm in the area caused a power outage in the neighborhood, the rest of the homes had power after a couple of hours. I called the property manager, who sent someone out, who could not do anything till the next day. Power was still out when we left. I can not recommend this property due to the property management and related problems.

Our six kids enjoyed the bunk room with their own bathroom, multi level kitchen overlooking one living area was fun; one-block walk to sandy beach; two beds could use a separate AC unit; one daughter had to buy a box fan. $2 bridge toll back and forth to Galveston. Would return. VRBO did not automatically send me the access codes 2 days in advance like assured. Took me several calls to get the info one day before. The VRBO Experience Manager and owner were on top of a couple of issues.

We enjoyed our stay and the house was perfect for the two families that we there. The location to the beach access is a little misleading in the pictures however it is not a far walk/car ride to the beach access. Dishes were a little disarrayed in the cabinets and drawers, however there was everything needed to cook while we were there. We will be coming back to area again next year as we enjoyed our time very much.

The house was very nice and within walking distance to the beach. The house is large and the kitchen was stocked well. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our time at the beach.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We loved it was so close to the beaches. Our only problems were the master bedroom door wouldn't close you had to jimmy it and pick it up due to the top hinge has the wrong screws in it so it's loose and multiple light bulbs were burn out so that was a bit of an issue. Overall the house was great and fit us and our people just fine. Thanks for letting us stay here!

There were eight of us total and the house was great. Three dads and five kids. Space was great and allowed for moving around as needed with five kids. We loved that it was out of the way of all the touristy stuff but not too far away if we wanted to go. Beach was right there and not too busy. Will definitely stay again

The house was great for a large group. There was plenty of room and it was the perfect distance to the beach. We had a few things come up on our trip and the property managers were great in their response. We would stay here again!

The house was very spacious and offered several sitting locations. The kitchen was large with a nice dining table that sat at least 10 people. The house was also well stocked with cooking essentials as well as a grill. The walk to the beach was short and pleasant. It is a great place for families to gather with young children as well as adults. Highly recommend.

We took our kids on vacation to the beach and this was a great house! There's a private kids area upstairs that has lots of bunks and things to do. Everything we needed was there. I wish it was a little closer to town but overall it was a wonderful experience!

So thrilled to have found this house for our family vacation! Great space for our family of 11, with all the comforts of home and benefits of being at the beach. The location was far enough removed from the "touristy" spots to feel private, but close enough to go see the sites. The beach was never too crowded, and is only a short easy walk from the house (1-2 blocks). We absolutely fell in love with everything and hope to make this our annual vacation spot!! ❤
